When do you need a fresh Windows installation?

1. The computer is very slow: after years of use the system is cluttered with leftovers — a clean install restores performance.
2. Windows won’t boot: blue screen, an endless “Automatic Repair” loop, or freezing on the logo.
3. Upgrading to an SSD: a clean install on the new drive — or a full migration of your existing system. Best combined with a drive replacement.
4. Moving to Windows 11: Microsoft ended Windows 10 support in October 2025 — a computer without security updates is exposed.
5. Viruses and malware: when the system is deeply infected, a clean installation is the safest solution.
6. Before selling or handing over: secure data wiping and a clean system for the next owner.

Clean install or system repair?

Formatting isn’t always necessary. In most cases we first check whether the system can be repaired: restoring system files, fixing the boot process, sorting out stuck updates or a faulty driver. A targeted repair is faster and cheaper — and keeps all your software in place. Only when the system is too damaged do we recommend a clean installation, and of course we back everything up first.

Your files are always preserved

Before any installation we back up everything that matters: documents, photos, videos, desktop, browser bookmarks, contacts and work folders. After the installation everything goes back in place — you continue exactly where you left off. Licensed software? We’ll help preserve and reactivate it wherever possible.

Windows 11 or stay on Windows 10?

The recommendation today is clear: Windows 11. Windows 10 support has ended, and without security updates your computer is vulnerable. Before upgrading we check that your machine meets the requirements (supported CPU, TPM 2.0). An older computer that doesn’t qualify? A small hardware upgrade — SSD and RAM — often gives it several more good years and can beat buying a new machine.

Can I install Windows myself?

Absolutely — if you know what you’re doing. The usual pitfalls: losing files while formatting, wrong drivers (especially on laptops), license activation issues, and installing onto a failing drive that brings the problem right back within weeks. If your computer is already acting up — get a professional diagnosis before you format.

How long does the installation take?

Usually the computer is ready the same business day — including updates, drivers and data restore. If there’s an unusually large backup or a hardware issue shows up in diagnostics, we’ll let you know in advance.

Will my programs survive?

With a clean install, programs are reinstalled (your files and documents are preserved). We’ll set up the essentials and help restore licensed software. With a system repair — everything stays as it was.

Do I need to buy a new Windows license?

Usually not: if the computer came with a genuine system, the digital license is stored in hardware and activation happens automatically. No license? We’ll walk you through the options.

My computer is old — can it run Windows 11?

We’ll check the requirements (TPM 2.0 and a supported CPU). If it doesn’t qualify, we’ll offer a solution: a component upgrade, or a clean installation that keeps it as fast and safe as possible.

I reinstalled Windows myself and it’s still slow — why?

Most likely it’s hardware: an old or failing drive, too little RAM, or overheating. That’s exactly the difference between an installation and lab diagnostics — we check the hardware first.
